The effects of WannaCry, which affected 81 of the 236 NHS trusts in England, led NHS Digital to negotiate a personalised support agreement with NHS Digital in August to patch all its devices running Windows XP. Software prices are expected to rise two to three times without the economies of scale that an EA deal would offer, but the decision will also lead to serious licensing issues, according to sources close to Microsoft. We will be hosting different webinars and events about the new agreement and how we can help with the provision, so please, please keep an eye on them. We are in the process of putting the licensing process in place. NHS Digital will soon provide us with the service contract. This must be signed and returned to us to apply for licenses. For any license request or any questions regarding the NHS contract, please email us at [email protected] But the NHS company agreement has just been rejected. A message on the corresponding page of Microsoft`s site states: „We are currently updating these pages to reflect new licensing information starting in May 2010. Please look again in a moment. The rollover contract, in effect since 2001, expired at the end of May. As a result, a number of benefits related to the agreement have been removed.

More than one million employees across the NHS will have access to the Microsoft 365 suite of apps and services as part of a pioneering agreement between NHS Digital, NHSX and Microsoft. Apart from the additional licensing costs, there will also be a huge management problem. The previous agreement left some leeway to count individual machines for licensing. On June 15, 26, 2020, Microsoft announced an agreement with NHS Digital and NHSX to offer access and how to introduce Microsoft`s latest suite of products. The agreement includes a series of Custom Office 365 and Microsoft 365 subscriptions to unlock features that increase mobility, agility and security, which have been critical during Covid-19 restrictions. Trustmarque`s approach is always to put our clients and their unique needs at the forefront of our work and advice. In our experience, we are aware that a one-size-fits-all approach is not always advantageous in this scenario and can often be counterproductive. By listening to our clients, understanding their specific needs, circumstances and their own unique requirements and roadmaps, we work with them to determine the best specific approach for them, in order to get the most out of this agreement.
